GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Lunch and then the first of many hikes. The students get their first real insight into what a forest is. The students talk about environmental issues which are most important to them and what activities they are currently involved in which utilize forest land - hunting, fishing, camping, etc.

Back at camp there are a number of group activities in which the students identify the values which are most important, and least important to them. The groups then design a coat of arms with input from all participants in their “value” group.

After dinner students visit the planetarium, climb the rock wall, play basketball or ping pong, or just visit.

5. Students write their name, home town, school, career path, etc. and circulate among the other students to get acquainted
