11. The Forest Service cadre – Barbara Rebiskie, Dede Cherry, Kristi Schroeder and Amy Reid. They’re smiling because they get to go home while the “Legion-type” have to stay up until the last student is sound asleep.


SATURDAY

12. Saturday morning – the students view a movie about Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe Basin Management Team.

13. After picking up the management team the students hike to one of the more pristine shores of Lake Tahoe. They spread out and write what they feel, hear, see or think.

Can you imagine 61 high schoolers in the same area and all you can hear is the water lapping against the shore?  It’s eerie.
