Area 1 - The 4th Meeting at Auburn Post 84

Maybe people were attending this Area 1 reason for other reasons than a cup of coffee and a couple of donuts

The 4th Area 1 meeting for the 2005-2006 year was held in Auburn, at Post 84.The usual rush of early arrival occurred, but for some unexplained reason, the donut box was not the reason. Coffee and donuts, the usual big draw to get folks to attend was simply left alone. Maybe people were attending this Area 1 reason for other reasons than a cup of coffee and a couple of donuts.

All smiles at the meeting

However eagerness to get to meeting, and get it started can be seen in the abundance of smiles, even with Jack Pressey. A good, prompt turnout, with interested and exciting people ... can it get any better ?

District Commanders obviously were eager to give their reports
The District Commanders obviously were eager to give their reports and share the accomplishments of their individual Districts. In fact, if one listen closely, there seemed to be an earnest, good natured competitiveness among the District Commanders over such things as membership. The district 4 Commander, Cynthia Verrill simply radiates this enthusiasm.

Chairman rose to the occasion to present significant accomplishments and major tasks completed

After the District Officers gave their reports, the numerous committee chairmen for Area 1 gave their reports. Chairman rose to the occasion to present significant accomplishments and major tasks completed, in a brief and concise manner. The chairman from Bear River Post 789 led the way.

Area 1 Vice Commander listened to each report with both patience and calm understanding

The Area 1 Vice Commander listened to each report with both patience and calm understanding ... at least until Les Alden.

Vice Commander Bradury felt the need to remind Chairman Alden of the time constraints on the Area meeting

At that point Vice Commander Bradury felt the need to remind Chairman Alden of the time constraints on the Area meeting (the Memorial Hall was to be taken over by another group at noon).

Hank Ondler promotes his wares

After the main business was accomplished, it seemed there was time for all sorts of hawkers, promoters, and outcriers.

 Candidates wait their chance

Area 1 Officers, Commanders, Committee Chairmen and Area 1 Post members
It was another successful meeting conducted by the Vice Commander Representing Area 1, Court Bradbury. Of course, the ultimate success was the presence, and participation by, the Area 1 Officers, Commanders, Committee Chairmen and Area 1 Post members.

Well done Area 1.

Thank you for the hospitality Post 84.
