May 16th, 2006 - Memorial Service for Paul McGinnis

One of the sad occasions that arise within any American Legion group, be it State, Area, District, or Post is the memorial service for a deceased member. This Area Historian attended such a memorial service, for a fellow member of Rocklin Post 620, District 31, Area 1, Department of California. Paul McGinnis was not only a fellow member, but a friend. This was true for many, as legionnaires, from the American Legion and the VFW, were joined by members of the local Roseville Elks Lodge, friends and family, to pay a final tribute to an active member.
