Tips to Increase Text Size on your computer

Here are a couple easy ways to change some settings on your computer if you find you need to increase the text size on our site. The tips we give you here can be applied to any site that you are visiting.
Tip #1
Change text size from your browser

For Internet Explorer:
From your browser:
1. Go to the top toolbar and click on "View"
2. Highlight "Text Size" and you will see a mini box expand to the side giving you various options. The default setting is on "Medium" and you can tell this by the black dot at the left of the word.
3. To change to a larger text size, just click on the desired word:
"Large" or "Larger" This will increase the text size.

For Netscape:
From your browser:
1. Go to the top toolbar and click on "View"
2. Select "Increase Font"

Tip #2 (Windows)
Increase Text Size by Changing your Computer's Screen Resolution

On the Windows Desktop:
1.
Right mouse click anywhere on the empty area of the Desktop.

2. A pop up window appears with some options: Select and click on "Properties".
The Display Properties window opens.

3. At the top you will see tabs - Select "Settings".
On the window which appears, go to the area that says, "Desk Top Area" Here you will see a bar with a downward pointing arrow. Move this arrow to the left to increase your text size - this is called resolution. The arrow is set at your monitors default resolution, moving it to the left will increase the size of your icons on the desktop and the text on sites you visit. The largest you can set this at is 640 x 480.

4. Once you have the arrow positioned where you want it, click on "Apply".
Windows will display a pop up message stating that you haven't tested the new settings yet, and to click ok if this is what you would like to do. Go ahead and click "OK"

5. Your computer monitor will momentarily go black as it resets the settings. It appears again at the different resolution. If you are satisfied with the size, then click OK.
