-- Community events and rallies will help: Defend Our War Memorials, Support Our Troops, Honor Our Veterans Protect our Pledge of Allegiance and National Motto You probably know that our Pledge of Allegiance was ruled 'unconstitutional' in 2002 in the Newdow v. Congress case. People all across America were furious.
Lyman Stucky named his 1970 Mercury Cougar "The Spirit Of Allegiance," painted it like a rolling American Flag and led a Motorcade from Southern California to the 9th District Courthouse in San Francisco to rally public support in efforts to save our Pledge.
His voice was one of many that cried out in outrage. At that time, in Washington, D.C., officials stood clearly with the Pledge. And that time, the U.S. Supreme Court dismissed the case. But anti-God activist Michael Newdow hasn't rested. As of the end of June 2006, Newdow has just won another 'unconstitutional' ruling against the Pledge of Allegiance in another sympathetic federal appeals court. He also has a case in the courts attacking our National Motto!
"Congress has the power to remove the enormous monetary incentive from the ACLU's incentives to file lawsuits. We The People have the power to remove those in Congress that fail to do our will," says Stucky. When America's legal and physical sovereignty are being continually attacked, when American troops and their Commander-In-Chief are being badmouthed, it's time to rally the public to support America. And it's time the public voted out those who are in Congress yet apathetic or unpatriotic members. Congress has the power over all inferior federal courts--to force Congress to take action against bullies like Newdow and the ACLU, he says.
The U.S. Senate has just failed to pass, by ONE VOTE, the Flag Protection Amendment supported by The American Legion and the Citizen’s Flag Alliance.
Since 2002, Stucky has participated in numerous car shows and other public events in efforts to instill pride in America, honor our Flag and--under that banner--protect all we hold dear.
