Mr. Grandberry passed away at 1:37 am, Saturday Morning, August 21, 2010 due to recent medical complications.

Atwood was a member of Jackie Robinson Squadron 252, Los Angeles, CA. He had served as Detachment Commander 2004-2005; National Executive Committeeman 2007-2009; and National Chaplain 2009-2010, Sons of th American Legion, The Grandberry Family has requested that Past National Commander Gene Sacco (FL) speak on behalf of The Sons of The American Legion at Atwood's Funeral Service. Please note that the funeral is for a private family service. Rituals will be observed by the Detachment of California at a later date. Our thoughts and prayer are with his family.
