Area Chairmen will report to their respective Area Membership Director, North or South, who in turn, will report to the State Membership Director.
 

There appears to be some confusion as to how transfers are handled.
Below are the National guidelines for assuring a member is properly transferred to another post or DMS program in the department.

   National Organization’s Transfer Procedures:

  1. All transfer requests from one local post to another must be signed by the member and a Post Officer. If either one or both , is missing, forms will be returned to the Department.
  2. If a Department sends a list of HQ Post members and requests to transfer into local Posts, The Department Adjutant or Commander must certify in writing that the members have been contacted and agreed to be transferred and the local Post has agreed to accept the members.
  3. If a Member data form is received for a member transferring out of Dept HQ and into a local Post, the member's signature is required. The Post Officer's signature may be left blank. The member's signature is also required when transferring a member from a local Post into Headquarters Post.
  4. All transfer requests must be submitted to National Headquarters through the Departments Headquarters.  Transfers received directly from a member or Post will be sent to the receiving Department.

Membership Transmittals
Posts should be transmitting to Department once a week. Posts that fail to transmit for three consecutive weeks will be contacted by the District First Vice or District Officer and will be presented with a self addressed stamped enveloped and asked to transmit immediately.
 
There is no excuse to go any longer than three weeks without transmitting, even if it is only for one member. The reason for this new policy is that members who have paid but have not been transmitted are contacting the National and Department Organizations and this must stop!

Districts Membership Challenge & Incentives

This is a challenge to all districts to increase membership with a cash incentive that may be spent as each district sees fit. All districts must obtain 98% or better membership in order to qualify to receive the cash incentive.
 
The districts will each be put into one of four groups based on their membership with the cash incentive going to the district with the highest membership in each group (The districts in group #1 are not competing against one another, however they must reach 98% or better membership).
 
All District Commanders that reach 100% membership will receive a gavel presented by the Department Commander.
