REPORTING OF HONORARY LIFE MEMBERSHIP AWARD The American Legion Magazine is pleased to publish the names of honorary life members whose Posts have agreed to pay their Department and National dues for the remainder of the member's life. The names published in the magazine DO NOT INCLUDE PAID-UP-FOR-LIFE MEMBERS. This opportunity is limited to HONORARY LIFE MEMBERS ONLY. Each Honorary Life Membership listed must have been awarded by the Post at absolutely no cost to the member. In each instance, the Post must have made provisions to pay the member’s entire Department and National dues for the remainder of his or her life (unless the member chooses to transfer to another Post). Due to severe space limitations, The American Legion Magazine cannot publish the names of the members who have purchased their own Life Membership under the provision of National’s Paid-Up-For-Life (PUFL) program. Only PUFLs purchased by the Post and awarded to the member will be published. Reports of Honorary Life Memberships will be accepted for publication only when certified by signature of the current Post Commander, Adjutant or Finance Officer.
