We are the Mighty County

Let me begin by thanking the dedicated members of Los Angeles County Council for showing up and/or calling to execute the business for Los Angeles County Council. Remember, there is strength in numbers. We are progressing and it will have a significant input on our veteran community.

The past few months we have been addressing key components of the Counsel. Our service Department is a critical element. There has been an influx of activity at Long Beach VA according to Frank Seller. If there is a Legionnaire with a few hours of time to devote to helping our Veterans, Comrade Sellers could use some assistance with triaging phone calls.

It is so true that "Team Work Makes the Dream Work". We must work together to ensure that we attend meetings and provide updates on our community activities.

Be sure to attend the upcoming Veteran Rehab night in March. I can remember how exciting it was as we pledged monetary donations to assist our service officers to provide the much needed assistance they are requesting. Let us bring back the good old days.

The American Legion has always been at the forefront of preserving Veteran benefits and enhancing the quality of life for Veterans and their families. The Department of California has always presented as a leader in this endeavor. Los Angeles County Council is an important component  of this success. Together we can do great things.

On the first Friday night of each month, we gather for a delicious dinner followed by a productive meeting. Please join us, if you live in the county of Los Angeles, we welcome your attendance. If you live outside the county of Los Angeles, dinner is on us. Dinner is served from 6:30-7:30pm, our meeting begins promptly at 7:30pm. All meetings are held at Patriotic Hall.
See you at the next meeting!
