Freedom Car Enters race at Iowa Speedway

Jerick Johnson with the #76 Freedom Car Team Johnson Motorsports enters driver, Jerick Johnson with the #76 Freedom Car in the Inaugural ARCA/Remax series race at Iowa Speedway in Newton, IA.

The race is scheduled to be a live nationally televised event on
October 15, 2006.
 
This is the first major event for the new 7/8 mile speedway that has been a project of retired NASCAR driver Rusty Wallace. A beautiful brand new facility in the Midwest, the track has big plans on becoming a new favorite track to drivers and fans.
 
The race will be broadcast live at 2:30 eastern time on the SPEED Channel on Sunday, October 15th and replayed at the same time on Monday, October 16th.

The team is seeking donations to help cover costs of tires, etc. for the Iowa race. This may be their last race of the 2006 season. Please contact Debby Johnson at 704.658.9988 to make a donation or mail your donations directly to:

In 2006, the Freedom Car has been at several speedways: Nashville, Milwaukee, Kansas, California, Loudon and now Iowa. The show car has been to: Alabama Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah and Virginia.


Talk with your fellow members, talk with your Post commander, Department commander and find out how to support the Legion Racing Program. This grassroots program continues to grow as more members realize their donations and support of the Freedom Car also determines the speed of this Program.
