Legionnaires and SAL members in California can apply for grants of up to $1500 if their primary residence was damaged by the wildfires to cover immediate needs for cost of food, shelter and clothing.

The American Legion, as a coalition member of the Dept. of Homeland Security's promotion of Disaster Preparedness Month (September), has received the attached media tool kit to be adapted and used by American Legion public relations chairmen and officers as appropriate.

Please share with your volunteers to use locally.
