REGISTRATION
  
Please have the following items in a folder and when you arrive at Camp:
   Scout Release Forms - Tour Permit - Medical Forms - Patrol Registration Forms

CAMPOREE COST:
   $5.00 per Scout, Adult and Others. Main Post (Cabin) has a shower for emergency only.
   Cabin and Trailer will be for Main Staff Personnel only.
   Portable Latrines (Toilets) for the Ladies, Men and Scouts will be furnished,
   and will have a sink for the Ladies and 2 sinks for the Men and Scouts.

UNIT LEADER INFORMATION:

  • CAMPOREE – Is for American Legion Chartered Boy Scout Troops Only.
  • UNIFORMS – Scouts should wear uniforms during travel
                             Patrol Team attire OK during Field Events and Flag Ceremonies.
  • CAMP AREAS – All Vehicles must be parked in the Camp Parking area, Cars, and RVs.
                                 (Note RV’s must be SELF CONTAINED).
    Adult Leaders with family & guest will camp in a Separate area, in Tents or RV’s in Camp Parking Area.
    Scouts will sleep in a Separate Area in Tents by Patrols. The only time that a Family Member and or Guests are allowed in the Patrol Camp Areas if INVITED to EAT with the Patrol. (Exception Camp Staff on Business) 
    *BE PREPARED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WITH YOU FOR YOUR TROOP. (other than your normal supplies)
    1. Bottled Water for Drinking. A 3500 gal water tank on site to draw water for Washing Utensils.
    2. A Canopy or Canopies (No Shade) Bring Sun Screen.
    3. Patrol Flag for area designation.
    4. Hats (Cover).
    5. Folding Chairs.
    6. Folding Tables.
     
  • CAMP RULES – Enclosed in package for Mt. Zion
  • CAMPFIRE – Each Patrol should be prepared to present at least one (1) SKIT & SONG. Honors and special recognition time will be available.
  • AWARDS – Trophies to be presented to: First, Second & Third place Patrols. (Also the First place Patrol will receive the Perpetual Trophy), based on Camporee Score Sheet Points. Each Patrol will receive a Participation Ribbon for your Patrol Flag.  (NO SPECIAL PATROLS).
  • ADULTS – Saturday POT-LUCK.  Prepare your specialty to serve your crew and a few Staff Members. You do not have to share a secret family recipe.
    We will need VOLUNTEER’S.  The Camporee is Judged by Adult Volunteers and a few Staff Members.  During the CRACKER BARREL time 2000 hrs Friday, at Main Post inform the Camp Director which events you would like to help with- we work in teams of 2-3 per event.
    Invite a Legion Member from your Post (non-scouter) to see what the Scouting Program is all about.
  • NOTES -  Mt. Zion at this time has NO SWIMMING.
                      NRA Certification for a Range Master will be needed for the Rifle Range.
