TOUR PERMIT, SCOUT RELEASE FORMS, MEDICAL FORMS & PATROL REGISTRATION FORMS CAMPOREE COST: $4.00 PER Scout and/or Adult (This covers facilities use and the Camporee Patch) Note: For Adults there is some cabin space with bunks/showers available at a minimum cost. - UNIFORMS - Scouts should wear uniforms during travel – Patrol Team attire OK during Field Events and Flag Ceremonies.
- CAMP AREAS – Adult Leaders with family and guests will camp in a separate area, RV’s and Vehicles must be parked in the Camp Parking area. (Note: RV’s must be SELF CONTAINED. Scouts will sleep in tents by patrol. Camporee Staff will escort tours upon request and time permitting. All Campsites are to be cleaned daily and kept ready for inspection. QUITE WILL BE OBSERVED AFTER TAPS.
- CAMP RULES – (Read the enclosed CAMP RULES FOR Rancho Alegre)
- CAMPFIRE – Each Patrol should be prepared to present at least one (1) SKIT & SONG. Honors and special recognition time will be available.
- AWARDS – Trophies to be presented to: First, Second & Third place Patrols. (Also the First place Patrol will receive the Perpetual Trophy), based on Camporee Score Sheet Points. Each Patrol will receive a Participation Ribbon for your Patrol Flag. (NO SPECIAL PATROLS).
- ADULTS – Saturday Pot-Luck. Prepare your specialty to serve your crew and a few Staff members. (Be prepared to share your recipes – not required if it’s a family secret). We need Volunteer’s. The Camporee is judged by Adult Volunteers and a few Staff members. Inform the Camp Director at Cracker Barrel which events you would like to help with. We work in teams of 2 – 3 per event. Invite a Legion Post member (non-scouter) to come along and see first-hand what the Scouting Program is all about.
- NOTES - Rancho Alegre Scout Camp is located between Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, California, overlooking Lake Cachuma. Word of CAUTION, Hi-way # 154 that runs by Rancho Alegre is a two (2) lane road with above average traffic, so be alert, especially when nearing the Rancho Alegre Scout Camp turn-off and entry. (See enclosed Map for mileage and Turn-off directions and watch out for American Legion Camporee Signs).
SWIMMING: We will need Life Guards during swimming: So if you are certified in this area please bring your Certification Card.
