Obituary:
It
is with deep sadness that I report that "Mr. American
Legion", Willy Wilkin passed away December 10, 2011 at
7:20 PM. His wife of 58 years, Jerry and their two
daughters Terry and Mona were with him in the hospital
when the end came. Willy and Mona had enjoyed a
football game together during the day, and he was alert
until the end. Willy had been hospitalized again since
the day after Thanksgiving, and was hoping to be well
enough to go home any day, but that was not to be. Our
prayers are with Jerry and the family.
Willy was a Past Commander of Robert Allen Romo Post 422
in Rialto, Past 25th District Commander, Past Fifth Area
Commander, Past Department Commander, and Past National
Executive Committeeman. All who knew him know of his
dedication to The American Legion. He will be greatly
missed.
