National Commander Fang Wong Visits California - Dec 11th - 18th

• National Commander and his aide will be met at SFO by Dept. Commander, Dept. Adjutant, Dept. Sgt-At-Arms, NECman and the SFPD for an escort to the Hotel Whitcomb in San Francisco’s Civic Center.  They will have a traditional San Francisco seafood dinner at Alioto’s in Fisherman’s Wharf.

• National Commander will meet with Headquarters staff in the War Memorial Veterans Building and have a continental breakfast.  After a tour there will be a reception co-hosted by Department & District 8 in Rm. 207.  A carving station and hors d’oeuvres will be provided. Cathay Post 384 will be hosting a dinner at the New Asia Restaurant, 777 Pacific St. San Francisco, CA 94108.  Dinner is $35.00.  Please email Ron Lee for details or reservations rlee288@aol.com (415-756-1898). • After a buffet breakfast at the Marine’s Memorial Club, National Commander and his entourage will leave from the Veterans Building to head down the coast toward the Monterey Peninsula.  They will have lunch at the Carmel Post 512 after which they’ll  take a tour of the area and dine in Marina at Post 694. • Leave Carmel in the morning and travel on to Fresno Federal Post 509 for a meet and greet luncheon and then end the day in Porterville Post 20 for a Dinner.  For luncheon details contact Pat Sweeney at his email pat_sweeney@att.net and for dinner details contact Dan Hetherington at his email tdjmhether@ocsnet.net

• National Commander will be heading down to San Diego to Post 310 for lunch with a meet and greet and then traveling on to Vista to Post 365 for dinner.  Contact Ed Grimsley or Launue Carter for lunch details at Launue’s email carterlc64@yahoo.com  and Ed Landis at his email edward9906@sbcglobal.net for dinner details.

• National Commander will then travel up to the Los Angeles Area. He will be staying at the Riviera Bay Club in Pacific Palisades.  He will travel to Newport Beach and Newport Harbor will treat him to a harbor cruise and then dinner with a meet and greet at Post 291, and afterwards, enjoy the boat parade.  Dinner Reservations are required, for additional details, click here or contact Post Commander Jess Lawson at email jesscharles@yahoo.com

• National Commander will visit the USO in Los Angeles to meet and greet the troops.  He will be attending a dinner and a program at the Chinatown Post 628 in Los Angeles.  For dinner details contact Wayne Yee at email w.yee@att.net

• National Commander will be at Lakewood Post 496 in Long Beach for a meet and greet luncheon.  They will be serving a spicy shrimp scampi over linguine pasta, salad, bread, dessert for $12 or an open faced beef sandwich, potatoes, veggies, roll, dessert for $10.  Contact Post Commander Janice Munson at email ghost90713@yahoo.com .Then on to Pacific Palisades to have a farewell dinner.  Contact Bob Ryan for the dinner details at office@post283.org
